Here are some quick and fun ideas that could help you reach your contribution goal if you would like to help a charity raise funds. You can begin by keeping all your change in a separate container and at the end of the month donate it, You can also put a collections jar at work on your office desk, only if your office policy allows that you do that. You can also sell a craft or hobby you have made to friends or family as another way to collect cash.
Maybe you have clothes hanging in your closet that you never wear. There are consignment stores that you can give them to who can sell them in their store. You can then donate whatever you make to your favorite charity. If you are a computer geek, you can sell anything on Ebay nowadays. Collectibles, books and vinyl records are sold everyday online. Memorabilia are always big sellers for those who collect things connected with sports.
By recruiting family and friends to fund raise with you, with a common cause, you can create your own circle of giving. All this you can certainly do by yourself but it would be more fun if you had friends working with you!

During the tough times that we are experiencing these days, raising money at all can be challenging. While everyone is cutting back, it will certainly take creativity to make things happen.
Not everyone can contribute cash in this economic downturn, but most people can donate “stuff.” A garage sale or flea market put together with family and friends donating the stock that you can sell can’t go wrong. Everyone can do with some spring cleaning and this is a good reason for many to clean out their closets, garages and basements and they might want to go shopping at your sale as well.
You can begin by choosing a theme. Themes are always a good start. Spring cleaning could be one theme because it tells everyone the idea of what is happening. Sports cold be another theme. Weights, sports clothing and used equipment can be the main items. Books is another and kitchen items always bring in those chefs in your neighborhood. Dishes, table cloths and small appliances etc. Kids stuff, toys and clothing. To get the most of your creation, post fliers around town so everyone knows what you are doing. But don’t pay for advertising as this will be cutting into your profits. You can always use the free local Internet classifieds like Craig’s list etc.

Valued at $100 million, Michael Dell’s private investment firm recently purchased a collection of vintage photographs. Containing nearly 200,000 original press prints of images, New York-based MSD Capital LP officials did not release the amount paid for the Magnum Archive Collection. The firm called MSD Capital LP, manages over $10 billion of Dell’s personal holdings.
This firm, with Michael Dell as its only client, Dell is the founder and CEO of Round Rock-based Dell Inc. It is in no way connected with Dell Inc. The 1930s vintage prints have been collected for years and include images of Gandhi, Marilyn Monroe, Pablo Picasso and Frank Sinatra. A humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas, is where this collection of images will be held and catalogued during the next five years.
Where these photos will be taken after these fives years is at this time unknown. Magnum Photos Inc. operates offices in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo and some of the photos can be found at that site.
